Recently, the PBAT / PLA / starch fully biodegradable material developed by Guoli has successfully passed the inspection and certification of DIN certco (German Standards Association Certification Center). The PBAT / PLA / starch fully biodegradable material developed and produced by the company has passed the strict compostable degradable plastic standard of the European Union in terms of chemical substance limitation, biodegradability, disintegration performance, ecotoxicological performance, etc, Officially obtained the "ID card" and can be circulated in all EU countries.

      Din certco (German Standards Association Certification Center) testing and certification is a biodegradable material certification program initiated by the German Standards Association Certification Center (DIN certco) and the European Association for biodegradable materials (IBAW), which is usually called "seeding logo" certification. This certification is evaluated according to en 13432 and ASTM d6400 standards (international mainstream certification regulations). Materials such as raw materials, additives and intermediates are evaluated and registered, and products are certified. Materials and products that have passed registration and certification can obtain certification marks (Fig. 1). Only compostable plastic products that have passed the certification can use the certification mark. The certification mark conveys the product information to the operators of waste recovery and treatment plants, and conveys the enterprise's image of environmental protection and sustainable development to consumers.

      Guoli obtained DIN certco certification this time, which is another major breakthrough in obtaining international certification after passing the certification of Chinese degradation standard GB / t19277.1-2011 for PBAT / PLA / starch fully biodegradable materials developed and produced by the company. It also means that national science and technology customers and businesses are expected to expand and develop in the European Union.

      On November 26, the State Administration of market supervision formulated and issued two recommended national standards, namely, biodegradable plastics and products degradation performance and labeling requirements and biodegradable drinking straws, which will be formally implemented from June 1, 2022. The implementation of the new standard will provide guidance for the future development of degradable materials and their products in China, and play an important role in supporting the treatment of plastic pollution and leading the green development of global industries in China.
